In the heart of Texas, amid a bustling urban landscape and thriving tech scene, a veritable green revolution has been budding. Revol Greens Inc., an innovative lettuce grower headquartered in Austin, has recently finalized an ambitious expansion project at their largest facility in Temple. By doubling its available growing space, the company plans to twice the production output.
Revol Greens opened its Temple location in May, initially spreading over 10 acres. With the recent expansion, the growing space now extends across 20 acres—equivalent in yield to an extraordinary 600 acres of traditional farmland. The ambitious venture, which employs around 100 locals, previously churned out about 12,000 pounds of lettuce daily. A figure that is now set to increase twofold.
However, the benefits of expansion aren’t solely restricted to mere volumes. With the added capacity, Revol Greens can now ensure that their succulent, sustainably grown lettuce reaches local consumers in a mere 24 to 48 hours from its harvest—reinforcing a commitment to providing the freshest possible produce.
National interest in Revol Greens’ lettuce is already significant, with the company boasting a presence in over 2,500 retail stores across the U.S. Its dynamic growth trajectory shows no signs of slowing. With the expanded facility now in full swing, it aims to attract even more food enthusiasts nationwide, further reinforcing Revol’s reputation as a trailblazer in sustainable agriculture.
