Nike, the global athletic brand, has chosen Austin as the next location for its unique fitness concept. In the heart of the bustling Texas capital, the company will set up its Nike Training Studios and Nike Running Studios.
Designed in partnership with FitLab Inc, these studios offer workout regimes focusing on strength training and endurance. Nike’s new fitness venture aims at expanding the workout studio count and is currently limiting it to only Austin and Los Angeles regions, solidifying its commitment to Austin’s vibrant fitness culture.
Specifically, Nike plans on facilitating a Running Studio in The Grove – a premier location at 2729 Perseverance Dr. Spanning across a sizeable 3,200 sq ft space, renovation of the studio will cost an approximated $350,000. Nike anticipates its completion by mid-March, positioning it as a prime springtime fitness destination for residents.
The Triangle, situated off 45th St. and N. Lamar Blvd., will house the Nike Training Studio. With an estimated renovation expenditure of $275,000, the 3,000 sq ft studio will offer plenty of space for strength and conditioning workouts. Similar to The Grove, work here is also on track to wrap up by mid-March.
This development cements Austin’s standing as a hot spot for boutique fitness chains. It creates room for commercial real estate professionals to seize these arising opportunities, contributing to Austin’s thriving fitness and wellness industry.
