Auto Salvage Yard in Austin to Become Vertical Mixed-Use Development
An auto salvage yard at 7900 S. Congress Ave. in Austin is set to become a vertical mixed-use development, according to the Texas Real Estate Research Center. The development will include more than 1,200 multifamily units, 210,000 square feet of office space, and a 136,000-square-foot shopping center. Additionally, 10 percent of the apartments in the development will be made available for tenants who are earning no more than 80 percent of the area median income. “Ground Broken on Final Phase of 530-Acre Bryson Residential Community in Texas”
Construction has officially begun on the final phase of the 530-acre Bryson residential community in Leander, Texas. When completed in 2024, the development will have a total of 1,261 residences. Last month, TriPointe Construction broke ground on 66 three- and four-bedroom homes with floor plans ranging from 1,903 to 2,700 square feet. In addition to these homes, Bryson will also feature an amenity center with a pool, event lawn, outdoor pavilion, fire pits, and a fishing pond. Construction of 48-Story Paseo Tower Set to Begin in 2023 in Austin’s Rainey Street District
Work on the 48-story Paseo multifamily tower in Austin’s Rainey Street District is set to begin in the first quarter of 2023. The tower will feature 557 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, with approximately 20% of the units designated as affordable housing. Additionally, the building will include several ground-floor restaurants and residential amenities across multiple floors. JE Dunn Construction has been chosen as the general contractor, while the architect is Pappageorge Haymes Partners. UMB Bank is providing construction financing, with completion expected in late 2025.

Affordable senior-living project on the way to Austin
AUSTIN – DMA Development Co. LLC is developing Arbor Park, a $17 million
senior-housing facility.
The four-story project will have 147 units for adults aged 55+. Some units
will be reserved for tenants making below 80, 50, or 30 percent of the area
median income.
It will have a large community area with a kitchen, ground-floor library,
private courtyard, fitness center, floor lounges, laundry facilities, and high
ceilings.
Opening is slated for late 2023.
